A little dedication post to our #Yeroes

#circuitbreaker has been extended (yes it got extended to another month), and we are stuck in the comforts of our homes (experiencing cabin fever actually), plus we can't hold events. We thought, hey

"If we can't get out and spread the word on eco-sustainability, lets do it digital to commemorate Earth Day."

Earth Day - well, according to Wikipedia, is "...is an annual event celebrated around the world on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it now includes events coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network in more than 193 countries. To expand on the area of environmental protection, here's Earth Day (the official OG) theme for 2020.

The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. The enormous challenge — but also the vast opportunities — of action on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary.

Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable. The list is pretty endless, and decisions on policies differ greatly from one country to another. But without having to complicate things so much, we feel that National Ocean's Service helps to simplify what we as the average consumers can do.

  • Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources and landfill space.

  • Volunteer. Volunteer for cleanups in your community. You can get involved in protecting your watershed, too.

  • Educate. When you further your own education, you can help others understand the importance and value of our natural resources.

  • Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater that eventually end up in the ocean.

  • Choose sustainable. Learn how to make smart seafood choices.

  • Shop wisely. Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.

  • Use long-lasting light bulbs. Energy efficient light bulbs reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Also flip the light switch off when you leave the room!

  • Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change.

  • Don't send chemicals into our waterways. Choose non-toxic chemicals in the home and office.

  • Bike more. Drive less.

Kinda like a dummy guide to all these, but alot more workable on a personal level. This has been Zero Yero's philosophy all along - to assist in everyone's journey towards a #ecosustainable journey. Speaking if which, we would like to feature our
